Here in the United States, today is called (unofficially) Super Tuesday - the day in which 24 of the 50 states hold primaries or caucuses to determine who will win their states' delegates for the Democratic and Republican presidential nominees for this fall's elections. For Raxco Software, it's been one week since last Tuesday, the day we (barely!) launched the new PerfectDisk 2008 family of performance and storage management products, including the latest version of our disk defragmenter. And what a week it has been for us.
We have shattered (by far) our records for number of downloads and number of purchases, with each day succeeding the previous day. Our new VMware products have been an instant success. Has everything been perfect? Is everyone completely happy? No, of course not. We've heard a few requests for different colors with our interface and some other enhancement requests on the interface and new features. There have been a few bugs. But in general, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, which correlates to the feedback we had from our 80,000 Early Release Program users and our beta testers.
As the dust settles (if it does) from our launch, this blog will get back into more detailed product issues as well as related industry issues. But just because we've delivered a winner, we're not done - by any means. Put PerfectDisk 2008 by any of the other candidates and choose your winner. But it's just primary season. We've got more work to do.
Never satisfied, Super Tuesday or not.
Hey Bruce,
If someone gives Download.com money, they'll say just about anything...:) That's why we value and appreciate our users who put their own real reviews and experiences out there.
Thanks,
Joe
